The countdown begins to Penzance’s very first Record Store Day.

9am, Saturday 12th April 2025

  • Record Store Day is the one day of the year when over 270 independent record shops all across the UK come together to celebrate their unique culture.

Special vinyl releases are made exclusively for the day.

Far Land Record’s very first Record Store Day 2025 will take place on Saturday 12th April with the shop opening the doors at 9am.

  • We have ordered a varied list of 150 titles which you can view here.

Supply is not guaranteed. We are at the mercy of the distributors to allocate stock to stores.

It is first come, first served for physical shop visitors only.

Any stock remaining will be listed on our website for sale from 8pm on Monday 14th April.

  • We are bound by the Record Store Day code of conduct which prohibits us from reserving the products for customers or allowing customers to pre-order products.

Record Store Day is about the occasion and visiting the store is part of the enjoyment so our best advice is to get up early and check in advance that we have your product. You can view our Expected Arrivals List here.

  • Yes you will need to queue!

We have no idea if the queue will be 1, 10 or 100 people, this is our very first RSD in Penzance.

The only way to get your hands on the items you desire is to get up early and be at the front of the queue outside the shop.

We are a small shop. We plan to initially let you in one in, one out for the super early birds to get their picks. Then we will manage the queue with 3 people in the shop at one time.

We will provide coffee / tea and snacks from 8am outside the shop. Nothing fancy mind.

We have no toilet facilities. Penzance has an excellent community toilet scheme, a map of participating businesses can be found here. Subway on Causeway Head opens at 8am.

We agree that RSD doesn't facilitate for people with disabilities, but we don't make the rules. We did however sign a code of conduct and have to follow them.

Record Store Day 2025 Highlights

  • Kasabian | Kasabian. White vinyl RSD25 exclusive.

Kasabian’s thrilling self titled debut album, released in 2004, made them one of the most exciting bands to emerge post-Britpop. Merging rock, electronica and dance music, it laid the foundations for their synonymous genre-defying style, with key tracks Club Foot and L.S.F. becoming instant classics.

Brimming with swagger and flair, it was originally released as a 2 x 10” vinyl set, and this special 2LP white vinyl edition will be the first time it has been available on 12” vinyl.

  • Sam Fender | Me and The Dog EP.

Sam Fender has been announced as the official ambassador of Record Store Day UK 2025, as well as sharing two new songs as part of a special EP to celebrate the occasion.

The EP features two-brand new tracks, alongside fan favourites and songs never pressed onto vinyl before.

  • Liam Gallagher | Acoustic Sessions.

Liam Gallagher's Acoustic Sessions features stripped-back versions of tracks from his 2019 album Why Me, Why Not alongside Oasis classics “Cast No Shadow”, “Sad Song” and “Stand By Me”.
Acoustic Sessions was released digitally in January 2020 and will now be available exclusively for Record Store Day 2025 as a limited edition colour-in-colour silver & blue vinyl. Each copy is individually hand pressed, making every copy unique.
